When The Fire Is Out
Oh what do I do?
When love turns to waste.
Filling my mouth with a bad taste.
Oh what do I do?
When now there is no emotion.
That quickens my hearts motion.
Oh what do I do?
When simple actions my mind it does irk.
Causing my anger, to just below the surface to lurk.
Oh what do I do?
When the feelings I experience when we are apart.
Add no strain or pain to my heart.
Oh what do I do?
When the words that are spoken.
So often lead to a heart that is broken.
Oh what do I do?
When the embers slowly die.
And in the wind the ashes do fly.
Oh what do I do?
When two people share a home,
Yet are both so sad and alone.
Oh what do I do?
When the depression is so deep,
That at times you just want to sit and weep.
